About 3FAIR Project
Empowering Solidarity Producers and Consumers with Digital Tools for Fair Data, Fair Food, and Fair Networks toward a Sustainable Future
Our Mission
3 FAIR is dedicated to empowering fair-trade and solidarity producers and consumers with digital tools that promote fair data, fair food, and fair networks toward a sustainable future.
Based in Greece 🇬🇷, our initiative brings together key organizations committed to sustainability and ethical practices in food production and distribution:
- COMMONSLAB - Developing open technology solutions for community empowerment
- Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh/CIHEAM) - Providing research and educational support for sustainable agriculture
- TERRA VERDE - Promoting environmentally conscious farming practices
Our Approach
At 3 FAIR, we believe that sustainability begins with transparency and fairness throughout the entire food supply chain. We work to create systems where:
Fair Data
We ensure that information about food production, pricing, and distribution is transparent and accessible to all stakeholders.
Fair Food
We promote production methods that respect both the environment and the rights of workers, resulting in food that is healthy, sustainable, and equitably produced.
Fair Networks
We build connections between producers and consumers that shorten supply chains, reduce environmental impact, and ensure fair compensation.
Our Values
Inspired by the work of organizations like Foodity, we are committed to:
- Ethical Sourcing - Supporting fair pay and good working conditions
- Environmental Sustainability - Minimizing ecological footprints in production and distribution
- Community Support - Strengthening local food systems and economies
- Transparency - Providing clear information about product origins and practices
